Your Role:

Work with differing aspects of research for our global portfolios.

Work with engineers and researchers to help coordinate, communicate, drive projects, and streamline work involved in creating or improving AQR’s systematic investment strategies.

Support our engineers with additional domain context and experience, including identifying work items and further streamlining and systematizing routine changes.

Execute research engineering projects, including new signal and model production queues, new builds around data consolidation, distributed computing and machine learning projects, and projects around enhancing the firm’s research systems and data management.

Help to define and specify projects in collaboration with other teams.

Assist with the coordination of researchers and engineers.

Translate research requests and requirements into engineering tasks.

Oversee progress and stay on top of implementation.

Help test and assure final deliverables.

Perform process engineering including learning all aspects of research engineering workflow.

Review code and provide constructive feedback.

Gather feedback and requests from stakeholders and generate ideas for business process enhancements.

Collaborate with researchers and key stakeholders on strategic improvements.

Improve research engineering workflow efficiency by performing significant process analysis.

Communicate and coordinate between Research and Engineering to bridge any gaps.

Work with engineers to support project deliverables.

Refine requirements and breakdown requests in specific work.

Facilitate collaboration and communication between teams.

Support engineers to maximize value added.

Perform financial industry business processes.

Perform quantitative research in the finance domain.

Implement financial technology and business/system process re-engineering projects.

Work with Python, SQL, and scripting languages.
What You’ll Bring:
- Requires Bachelor’s degree, plus three (3) years of experience.
